Jim McNeish

Jim has had thirty years in leadership development and loves it more than when he started. Human potential studies, classical psychology, and organizational development underpin his professional development but it’s hands-on work with Sainsbury’s, KPMG, Sellafield, BP, RBS, Welsh Rugby, Lambeth Palace, Condé Nast and Wagamama that gets him excited. Growing and establishing Quaich is his focus for the next few years.

Take time to listen to this conversation. Jim is incredibly profound and deep. I find that many of Jim's leadership concepts and ideas are paradigm shifters and worth taking the time to contemplate and digest.

In this episode:
  • The change Jim had to make with his company due to COVID-19
  • Staying in the question
  • Doing the work on ourselves and not contributing to the collective shadow.

What I offer Executives is a great conversation.

  • Working with an acceptance of our shadow.

In a showdown God favors the shadow over the ego,
for the shadow, with all its dangerousness,
is closer to the center and more genuine.

Perception without love is a sin.

Acceptance is violent... it’s a powerful place to stand.
Louise Hay

  • Chaos Theory and how that applies to leadership and world events.
  • Using intentionality to figure out what to post for Social Media.

Develop an intentionality to diminish racism wherever you can.

  • Get really clear about what you are passionate about or what your purpose is.

Passion is something you are willing to suffer for

  • What are the primary things that the Executive leaders that Jim works with are facing during COVID-19 and the turmoil in the U.S. Answer: Zoom, Empathy, and more.
  • Why we need to be careful with empathy during this time.
  • How is leadership evolving? Is there going to be a new normal in leadership coming out of COVID?

Brutal species ultimately wipe each other out, but those who
learn to coexist prosper and leaders are going to have
to learn to take that on.
